This TightKnit, Inc. Privacy Policy explains our practices, defines our users’ (“you” or “your”) privacy options, and describes how your information is collected and used by TightKnit, Inc. (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “TightKnit”). This Privacy Policy, along with our Terms of Use, governs your use of the TightKnit website at www.tightknit.com (“Site”) and any web or mobile applications we develop (collectively, our “Platform”).

By using the TightKnit Platform, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.

We reserve the right to modify this policy at our discretion and will mark new versions with a corresponding effective date. We recommend you visit the Site to review any changes in our practices. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes your agreement to our then-current Privacy Policy.

Our Platform may contain links to other websites. These websites may have privacy policies different than our Privacy Policy. Any interaction on social media websites is governed by the terms of use and privacy policy of the particular site.

Collection and Use of User Information

At TightKnit, we enable you to capture and share special memories, so they remain alive, always percolating in and around the family. As a result, we collect Personal Information from you through our Platform, or through any other digital or personal communication between you and us. Personal Information is information that can identify you, such as your name, email or street address, or it may be information that could reasonably be linked back to you. We may also collect general information about your technology interfaces or preferences and the websites you visit.

The information we may collect includes, but may not be limited to:

  • Your Basic Information, Including Your Name, Email Address, and Billing Information: We use your personal data to authorize your access to our Platform; to send you our newsletter and other company related updates, promotions, and materials; and to process any transactions made through the Platform.

Any third party to which TightKnit transfers or sells the Platform or related assets will have the right to continue to use the personal and other information that you provide to us.

Limitation of Information Collected

By providing information to us or using our Platform, you are consenting to our use of your data as outlined in this Privacy Policy.

While we work hard to use and disclose our users’ personal information only for the purposes identified above, you can choose not to provide personal information or can limit the personal information obtained by us as follows:

  • You may have your contact information removed from our marketing lists to inform users of new or relevant products, services, and special offers by clicking on the unsubscribe link in any communication received from us; and
  • Although most internet browsers accept cookies and the like by default, you can control these types of technology through your browser settings and similar tools and agree to refuse all cookies altogether. If you refuse to accept cookies and similar technologies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser or smartphone, you may be prohibiting us from delivering the full capability of the Platform and preventing the use of certain features and services that require these technologies.

California Privacy Rights

California Civil Code § 1798.83 permits users that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Under Section 1798.83, TightKnit currently does not share any Personal Information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

Do Not Track Signals

At this time, the Site does not respond to Do Not Track signals.
